THE PURE DANCE PRAISE TEAM IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PARTS OF OUR MISSION.
Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow. Jeremiah 31:13
The team is a group of girls and women, all ages, who join in dance to worship the Lord together.
This is a place of healing...of unity and peace. Everyone is welcome before the feet of Jesus. Early every other Saturday morning, we'll meet for an hour and a half to commune with each other, stretch, pray, and dance.
This is not a rigorous class. Whether you are a middle school student, college student, stay at home mom or retired, the team is a place for you. You can join at any time.
What is the Praise Team?
Before Sage moved to Western Oklahoma, she had the unique chance to join a praise team with her mother and sister. The team forever changed her life and the way she looked at dance and worship. Since then, Sage has been praying for the opportunity to share what she found with other believers. "This, I believe to be above all else, the most important part of dance," she says. "What I want for everyone to understand is the atmosphere of freedom when you dance for the Lord and only for Him. I used to worry about who was watching me...but not anymore. His eyes are the only ones I think about when praising Him. He's given me my hands and feet, my body which is His temple, for this reason. I cannot number the times He has revealed His Spirit to me through dance. It's the most indescribable feeling...and more than anything, I want my sisters in Christ to experience it too."
